The Wellbeing Framework was developed to support the wellbeing, attraction and retention of the housing and homelessness workforce in Queensland, and is funded through the Workforce Connect Fund, powered by the Queensland Government’s Good people. Good jobs: Queensland Workforce Strategy 2022-2032. It has been developed with the sector, for the sector, through the resources of Homelessness Queensland and Q Shelter.
Positive and healthy wellbeing is crucial for staff resiliency, performance and engagement, particularly the homelessness and social services sector where demand can be high and there is a significant amount of interpersonal skills required. This framework is intended to provide ideas, tools and resources to support staff who are responding to people experiencing unmet housing need and homelessness.
Direct consultation with housing and homeless sector organisations and their staff has been a key focus of this project, to ensure the framework and resources meet the diverse and unique needs of the workforce. We are grateful for everyone’s valuable contributions in helping to shape this important resource for our sector, and we hope to work with you in an interactive way to increase its content, its value and ongoing relevance.
